Caroline Vis

I have always felt that time passes too quickly, in art as much as in everyday life. Through movement, I try to capture a moment and hold on to its energy and emotion, allowing it to last a little longer.

For many years, painting was part of my life alongside another professional career. I often painted at night, when the day was over and I finally had time for myself and my art. In 2013–2014, I presented my paintings to the public for the first time.

My work continues to grow from this personal need to express the movement of life and the feeling of a moment — and to make time stand still, even if only for a while.

Caroline Vis has been painting since the age of eleven. As a self-taught artist, she has developed her practice through years of independent study, experimentation, travel and personal exploration.

Alongside her artistic development, she built a professional career as an entrepreneur across several business sectors. For many years, painting remained an important part of her life alongside her professional activities, often taking place at night.

In 2014, she began pursuing her art professionally, bringing years of personal development and artistic exploration into a more public and dedicated phase of her career.
