Michele Cavallaro

Since 2013, he has lived and worked between Avignon (France) and Acireale (Sicily, Italy), where he primarily expresses himself through figurative painting, favoring oil on canvas while also exploring acrylics, oil pastels, and mixed media.

“Lately, my work has focused on exploring the ways in which we interpret and transcribe reality. I seek to understand how events, emotions, and human interactions are filtered through our perceptions and our creations.
For me, life resembles an immense stage, where each moment can take on a different form—sometimes tragic, sometimes comic, or even surreal. Every element on this stage, whether human, animal, or material, plays a precise role, yet these roles are in constant transformation, shaped by the influence of each actor.
My work consists in observing these dynamics, analyzing them, and attempting, through painting, to convey the subtleties of this grand play of life, where every gesture, every object, and every gaze interlace to create a work in perpetual evolution.”

He earned his degree in architecture after studying in three beautiful coastal cities: Syracuse(Sicily), Reggio Calabria(Italy), and Marseille (France).
