RECOGNITION
I am a Filipino-American artist and published author based in Washington, DC. My style is primarily representational mixed with impressionism, although I have ventured into abstraction in several of my paintings. I work mostly in oil but use watercolor, ink, and charcoal occasionally. Every piece I create conveys a mood or tells a story.
I concentrated on piano for many years but turned to painting in 1993. I studied art at the Washington Studio School and have exhibited in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC including the World Bank, Touchstone Gallery, MOCA-DC Gallery, Organization of American States, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the NBC-4 Studios, the Philippine Embassy, and the Watergate Gallery.
