Meshach Charity Eshiojieme (1997) is a Nigerian figurative painter based in Ibadan, Oyo State, whose work explores everyday human experiences through expressive colour, form, and visual storytelling. His practice is deeply informed by lived experience, focusing on identity, emotion, and social interaction within contemporary Nigerian life.
He holds a BA in Fine and Industrial Arts (Painting) and works primarily with oil on canvas. Influenced by his immediate environment, Meshach’s paintings use bold colour, dynamic composition, and figurative narration to capture moments of stillness, tension, and emotional depth. His work often addresses unspoken emotions, personal memory, and social imbalance, examining the quiet struggles, resilience, and desire for emergence shaped by background and circumstance. Through this evolving practice, Meshach positions figurative painting as a medium for reflection, storytelling, and shared human connection.
