Charlotte Dorn

My artworks often reflect my caring relationship towards the landscape and its inhabitants, through depictions of outdoor scenes or animals. A second fascination is living human/animal and their decay, found in artworks around wounds and the transforming bodies.

In November 2025, I absolved my PhD in Art, on the topic of Empathy for Animals in Contemporary Art. My Masters and my Bachelor thesis investigated the human body in transitoriness, in fragile states.
I studied painting and graphic art and since several years specialized in woodcut and linocut.
