Christian Maldonado

Christian Maldonado was born and is based in São Paulo, Brazil. He is a fine art and commercial photographer. regularly published by magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Casa e Jardim, Kaza, Giz, Casa Vogue, AU and Projeto.

Since 2009 Maldonado also works as art director and publisher for Schoeler Editions, a publishing company devoted to fine art photography portfolios and special limited series publications.

In 2010 he was nominated as a Hasselblad Masters Finalist in the fine art category, followed by an invitation to create the exclusive photo essay Falling Beauty to be published by Victor by Hasselblad - Photography Book II.

Christian Maldonado is graduated in Business Administration by Fundação Getúlio Vargas. São Paulo. During his university time, in mid 80's he started studying photography at Focus Image School. After two years of training he started his own photographic projects and never stopped.

2012 - Cecrópia - Hasselblad Masters Exhibition tour in galleries around the world.

2014 - "Paisagem da Cidade” - SESC Santana, São Paulo- Brazil. Collective exhibition with Marcelo Greco, José Bassit, Christian Maldonado, Márcio Távora, Tuca Vieira e Lucas Lenci - Maldonado presented his essay - NY Meatpacking.
