Christina Bilbili

Christina Bilbili, born in Kavala in 1981, resident of N. Peramos, located by the sea side, where she grew up with simple ideals as a child and vivid memories. From the age of 5 under parental supervision she was allowed to paint for hours either using crayon or tempera. From the age of 12 she began to draw various cards like the mickey mouse, Donald Duck, using a pencil. In 1999, joint an artistic school in the nearby city of Kavala. There, she had the opportunity complete a three year course in graphic design focusing on drawing objects and sometimes human bodies.
In addition, for one year she followed a course in graphic design in order to improve her professional skills. For half of a year, she worked as a designer in an architectural office and yet something was not satisfying her thus she turned into painting portraits and ladies’ bodies. Then she introduced colour to her work by using acrylic in order to give another perspective in form and vitality. The question is why she was attracted to women.
