Christine Lowe is a Canadian painter and designer based in Frenchvale, Nova Scotia, whose work explores themes of emotion, energy, and nature through a distinctive combination of bold colour and raised line work.
Mostly self-taught and deeply intuitive, Christine works primarily with acrylics on canvas, using Cerne Relief Outliner to create textured, tactile borders that enhance movement and vibrancy in each piece. This signature technique brings a stained-glass-like quality to her work, creating visual rhythm and structure within her abstract and figurative compositions.
Christine’s artistic journey is shaped by her lived experience with epilepsy, which informs both her perspective and her creative process. Working from home in a quiet rural setting, she creates each painting as a personal expression of feeling and connection — often inspired by nature, dreams, and the unseen emotional layers of everyday life.
Her work has resonated with collectors across Canada and beyond, drawn to the warmth, honesty, and bold originality in her pieces. Christine continues to explore new styles and subjects, including digital art studies and experimental techniques, while staying rooted in her signature relief-outlined forms.
