"Transported by love, light and vibration, my paintings combine rhythm, design and universal energy, with undulating, saturated color thickly applied with decisive authority. I paint to woo the viewer into my world-view that celebrates the beauty that nature provides whether I’m expressing this abstractly or representationally. It is a reminder that this should be what its all about, to activate the imagination and emotional centers into that eons old place of gratitude." Cindy Friedlander
The past several years Cindy has spent time in Southern California with views over the ocean and sunset fostering a creative burst of new subject matter and vibrant color, expressed with her signature energetic style.
In 2016 Black & White street photography of the 1950's became an influence in a new series of abstracted figurative landscapes, delving into the emotional stories of women in streetscapes and using colour specifically placed to heighten the viewers connection to the images.

Cindy Friedlander's mural works have graced many public sites in Toronto for many years. Skating arenas, public libraries, restaurants and nightclubs. J.J. Mugs, Pink Cadillac, Boppers, Mars Uptown Diner, and the world famous Hard Rock Cafe are amongst her restaurant clients while the The City of Toronto, City of North York and many private and public corporations own her large scale installation murals.
Cindy was ommissioned byThe Rogers Centre in Toronto to paint a group portrait of all the motivating personalities that created the Rogers Centre. It is on display in the corporate offices.
Commissioned for 10 large paintings for the corporate headquarters of Northern Telecom, amongst other Fortune 500 Companies.
