I am a retired art historian. I have made art all my life. I initially studied fine art but got a degree in art history. My concentration is 20th century art especially abstract expressionism. Since retirement and settling in one place I returned to making art. I have been painting and selling for the last 10 years.
My family moved 22 times due to my husbands work and we spent five years living in Europe. I use my extensive background in my teaching. I give my painting students a mini art history class as well as teaching them to create from their own experiences without as many preconceived ideas as possible.
My work is abstract expressionism.
