From a young age, I’ve been captivated by nostalgia and all things vintage. I could easily spend hours exploring old mills and thrift stores, hunting for items that evoke a sense of the past.
The name "Glass Bambi" is inspired by the delicate glass Bambi figurines at my grandmother’s house. As a child, I would spend countless hours playing with them, weaving stories in my imagination. That love of old objects, trinkets and vintage fashion resonates with me even today.
My work is inspired by the fashion, and style of the 1960s and 70s. I create portraits of icons like Diana Ross, and renowned models such as Veruschka Von Lehndorff, Naomi Sims, Jean Shrimpton, and Hiroko Matsumoto. Additionally, I draw inspiration from the vibrant patterns and flower power imagery that characterized the counterculture of this era. I hope to evoke a sense of nostalgia through a blend of neo-pop and realism, using harmonious color palettes and soft textures.
