I'm Claudio Sorrentino and I was born in Naples (Italy) where I live and work. My city, with all contaminations and typical influences of various dominations alternated over the years, is like my way of making art: not only technique or an unique style with a recognition value, but experimentation between various media and research. Therefore brightness and liveliness of colors expressed with acrylic painting, oil on canvas/wood, synthetic enamels, but also videos, installations and crayons and pen drawings. I feel the entire Neapolitan and Italian pictorial tradition within me. My second city is Munich where I go occasionally to work and be inspired by the great German and Bavarian culture. I worked for Sol LeWitt foundation, to create "Wall Drawing#1267: Scribbles" at the Fondazione Morra Greco in Naples (Italy). I was the assistant of the artist Thomas Kilpper to realize his project "A lighthouse for Lampedusa" in Naples (Italy), Poznan (Poland) e Lodz (Poland).
My paintings are being sold in Italy and Germany. I’m very happy to be here, facing the whole world and included in Saatchi Art Online Gallery.
