Colin Malcolm Dutton

Colin is an award-winning British photographer based in Italy. He studied at the prestigious Documentary Photography course at Newport where was awarded a First Class (Hons) Degree. Since then his work has been published and exhibited widely with shows in Paris, London, Berlin and Milan. He was a finalist in the 2021 Hasselblad Masters.

Colin has a quiet, considered approach to his photography, often shooting on medium-format film, he produces strong, thoughtful images that comment on aspects of society and our relationship with nature. In 2000 he was commissioned by the BBC to document the aftermath of the war in the Balkans and he has since worked on a number of books and exhibition projects with clients spread around the world.
