Conceição Lacerda

Born in Lisbon Portugal.Lives and has her atelier in LisbonMan takes from Nature the materials needed to make it habitable. Our aim is to recreate those materials, those shapes that they offer, to interpret their textures and to give back to Art what Nature gave us. The model is just the accident, the occasion. Art morality consists on the perfect use of the imperfect, the search for the perfect balance, yet dynamic. All this is part of a process, of a path that pursuits the objective of creating. The poetics of time can only be expressed in painting and poetry. The representation of walls taken from their world is part of the world, is crystallized time. They are memories of a lost time,just as Proust would say."
