Lanre's passion for art was sparked in his adolescence when he met the late master artist David H. Dale, who played a crucial role as his mentor. This significant meeting broadened Lanre's perspective on the limitless opportunities within the art world and motivated him to develop a heightened awareness of his environment.

Drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources, Lanre seeks to evoke both action and reflection through his art, which embodies both inspirational and philosophical themes. Although his unique style is distinctly his own, it has sometimes been associated with abstract cubism and pop art influenced by African culture, marked by vibrant colours and bold geometric patterns. His creations express a wide array of emotions, including hope, joy, peace, and love, skillfully translating intricate ideas into visual representations that resonate with cultural memories, thus enriching his work.
