Cristina Stellini (1968), a visual-verbal artist and teacher, originally from Busto Arsizio, has nurtured a deep passion for drawing and painting since childhood, experiencing them as an intimate space for personal expression and exploration. Alongside a humanistic academic path, which led her to earn a degree in Literature, she has developed an independent artistic practice, dedicating herself to painting as a self-taught artist and gradually building an expressive language that fuses word and image.
She teaches Italian literature and history at the art high school in her hometown, where she combines literary training with a vocation for visual arts. Her artistic production often emerges from dialogue with contemporary and modern poetic texts, which become the starting point for an emotional and symbolic translation into the pictorial medium. Through the use of mixed techniques, material layering, and inserts of natural materials, her works explore themes related to identity, memory, the inner dimension, and female genealogy, shaping emotional landscapes in which poetic language transforms into a visual experience.
