Christophe Vacher

Christophe Vacher is a two-time Emmy Award Winner and two-time Annie Award Nominee who has provided artwork for the Animation industry and most major Hollywood Studios since 1989 as a painter, designer and Art Director.

He worked on movies such as The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Hercules, Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, Dinosaur, Treasure Planet, Shark Tale, Enchanted, “9” and Despicable Me. He has art directed multiple animated TV series, including Transformers, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Disney's Iwaju.

Originally French, he has been living in California since 1996. His personal paintings can be seen permanently in several galleries and various collections in Europe and the United States. For the first time, one of his painting sold at a Christie's Art auction in Paris in 2015.

He has given numerous lectures at various events and universities across the US and France, including the San Francisco Academy or Arts, the University of California in Berkeley and the California State University of Northridge.

Christophe went to school in France, where he studied Fine Arts, History of Arts and Medieval Architecture in Clermont-Ferrand.
Eventually, his studies in Medieval Architecture became tremendously handy for his design work in the animation and film industry.
