Danica Radovanović is a Serbian-born visual artist and writer based in Cologne, Germany.
Her work is rooted in the belief that beauty is a way of understanding the world—and that art can restore a sense of wonder, connection, and meaning. Working across painting, photography, collage, and literature, she explores memory, mythology, dreams, nature, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. Flowers, gardens, the sea, and imagined landscapes recur throughout her work as symbols of transformation, belonging, and resilience. Moving between image and language, she creates poetic narratives in which colour, symbols, and words become different expressions of the same inner landscape.
Writing has always been inseparable from her artistic practice. Radovanović is the author of the short story collection Divertimento for Four Seasons. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in literary journals and anthologies, and she is currently completing her first novel, Counterpoint. For her, painting and writing are complementary ways of exploring memory, emotion, beauty, and imagination.
Her work has been exhibited at the Art Pavilion Cvijeta Zuzorić in Belgrade, including the ULUS Spring and Autumn Exhibitions and the International Triennial of Expanded...
