I grew up in Pinner in North London. As a child, I loved all the Arts and knew that eventually I would pursue a career either performing or painting. I was especially fond of drawing animals and would spend many hours in my back garden sketching the family cats.
After completing my Art Foundation at Middlesex University in London, I continued my training at The University of Central England in Birmingham and specialised in Printed Textiles, graduating with Honours in 1996.
Print Designer – Wallpapers, fabrics and textiles.
After graduating, I moved to Bournemouth for my first professional job as a Textile Designer at Monkwell Fabrics and gained 2 years useful studio experience. I then moved back to London to secure a position as a print designer for Osborne & Little designing new collections of fabrics and wallpapers.
Artist & Illustrator – Published works
I took the next step of becoming a freelance artist and illustrator to pursue my first love, painting in the year 2000. For the first few years, most of my work was commissioned by large print companies for publication as greeting cards, children’s books, prints, posters, wrapping paper and surface designs.
