Daniel Peña Bresciani (1950-2017) was a watercolor artist born in Lima, Peru.
Daniel has published essays and given conferences about watercolor at different institutes, Art Museums and Universities.
Also was an award winning artist in different cultural and art events, like the XX Watercolor National Competition of the Peruvian-American Cultural Institute.
Jury member in numerous artistic contests like the “John Constable” of Peruvian-British Association or the National Watercolor Competition of the Peruvian-American Cultural Institute.
He was responsible for the Watercolor and Drawing Workshop at the Art Museum Of Lima , Peru and Senior Lecturer in Drawing for the I.P.P.
He has specialized in waterfalls and animal wild life, teaching courses and given demonstrations in faculties such as Fine Art, Graphic Design and Architecture at different Peruvian universities.
He was appointed Country Head Peru and Board Member of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) since 2016.
He studied Art at the National School of Fine Arts in Lima ; he worked and studied at Galeria degli Uffizi in Florence, Italy at the Gabinetto dei Disegni, Uffizi Gallery.
He participated in different workshops, from Traditional Chinese Painting to Japanese Sumi-e, and taught watercolor techniques since 1980.
He has led workshops in watercolor technique, given in English, for various organizations and associations.
He participated in individual and group exhibitions since 1980 onwards in local galleries.
He represented Peru in the V International Watercolor Biennale, in Mexico D.F in 2002.
