Gol Den

Danilo DANÍ Lavorgna is a self-taught artist whose practice explores the intersection of language, matter, and image. He is the creator of Light Mosaic, an original artistic and craft-based technique that transforms words and fragments of text into visual elements, used as tesserae to construct symbolic and narrative compositions.

His artistic journey began in the late 1990s with charcoal, ink, and pen drawings, taking part in a group exhibition at the Chiostro Comunale of San Giovanni Rotondo. In the early 2000s, he expanded his research into color, experimenting with unconventional materials including oil pastels, spray paint, and cosmetic pigments, with a strong focus on human anatomy and movement.

Over time, he explored digital art and acrylic painting, while maintaining a continuous drive toward material experimentation. A pivotal moment came with his encounter with contemporary mosaic practices, which led him to develop a personal technique based on paper, text, and lightweight materials.
