About Danuta Antas-Woźniewska

Born in Poland, graphic artist, painter, fine art photographer, for many years art and English teacher. Whether it is colourful landscape painting, b&w pen and ink fantasy drawing, photography or abstract painting, I always have a huge passion for light and texture, all things beautiful. Nature and meditation are my major sources of inspiration. In nature, I am looking for a special moments of a play between light, line and pattern. While, meditation allows me get deeper insights. And this is the very sensation that pushes me towards creative activity. Yet, at the core of every art work I do, is my deep love for the old intaglio technique masters. Sometimes, it may be seen in pen & ink drawings, at other times in b&w photography. The awarness of the surface, love of texture may be seen in paintings. The themes of my interest are various, yet primarily they are connected with nature, landscape, trees in particular and a human being lost in this world. MA degree in graphic arts/intaglio techniques and Art Education from Nicolaus Copernicus University of Toruń, Poland.
BA degree in English Philology from Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań, Poland.
MA degree in English Philology/British Cultural Studies from Nicolaus Copernicus University of Toruń, Poland.
