Daniel Martinez

I am a Cuban photographer and visual artist currently based in Arizona, focused on portraiture, documentary, and conceptual photography. My work explores identity, memory, migration, and the emotional complexity of the human experience through cinematic lighting, intimate compositions, and psychologically driven imagery. I am deeply influenced by photographers such as Gordon Parks, Platon, and Antoine d’Agata, whose approaches to humanity and visual storytelling continue to shape my artistic vision.

Growing up in Cuba profoundly influenced the way I observe people and environments. My photography often exists between vulnerability and resilience, silence and tension, combining fine art aesthetics with documentary sensibilities. Through both staged and observational work, I seek to create timeless images that invite contemplation and emotional connection.
