Daria Vergina is a contemporary artist living and working in Estonia. In her work, she explores perception, form, and the inner state of human beings, focusing on the subtle boundaries between the visible and the perceived, the external and the internal, silence and movement.
Working in mixed media, she combines acrylic paints and texture, allowing the materials to retain their natural properties and imperfections. Her practice is based on manual, intuitive processes, where irregularity, texture, and chance become integral elements of the final work. Each piece emerges as a dialogue between control and submission, form and feeling.
Through abstraction, Daria views art as a space for empathy and affirmation—a reminder that authenticity, imperfection, and presence are central elements of human beauty and creative expression.
The concept of horizons plays a central role in her artistic thinking. The horizon appears as a symbolic line between limitation and possibility — a space where the known meets the unknown. Rather than a fixed boundary, it represents movement, inner growth and unrealised potential.
