Darya Buben

I was born in 1982 in Gomel, Belarus.
Lives and works in Berlin, Germany

With the help of artistic practice, I explore the modern world and its effects on our feelings. Trough my personal experience and observation of chaotic reality, I am looking for visual and metaphorical connections between the objective world and the psyche.
I am concerned about the states associated with emotional pain - depression, loneliness, fear, entropy, as well as the living of these states by a woman.

I use photography and painting to create my projects. In photographs, I capture
the objective world created by humans, which acts as a metaphor for feelings.

The main object of my abstract painting is color, which is both a code of feelings,
and at the same time provokes new ones, depending on the viewer's perception.

Works are in private collections in Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, USA, Japan, Russia, Georgia
