Diayan Rajamohan

DIAYAN RAJAMOHAN is a Tamil artist born in Toronto, CAD in 1993. From a young age, Diayan immersed himself in creative pursuits including crafts, music and poetry. After a battle with cancer at the age of seventeen, he left school and found himself in the makeup industry working with live canvases in luxury cosmetics. With his return to academia, Diayan began to pursue painting as a therapeutic practice, focusing on large-scale abstract paintings on canvas. From his fascination with color to his obsession with straight lines and clean angles, Diayan’s work brings an abstract perspective to everyday inspirations. His paintings currently hang in coffee shops within the Chicagoland area. Currently, Diayan is living in Chicago Illinois and is an Anthropology major and Legal Studies minor at Lake Forest College. With his sights set on law school, he hopes to someday work as a child and youth advocate in the criminal justice system.
