David Cass’s artistic approach is wide-ranging; each project anchored by sustainability and environmental campaign. While painting and construction are the artforms he returns to most often, his recent projects also include photography, writing, survey and curation. Bound by their use of found and recycled materials, Cass’s award winning artworks each investigate water in some way: from straight depictions of sea, to illustrations of sea-rise; from commentary on extreme climatic events such as drought and flooding, to the melting of ice in the Arctic. Cass believes wholeheartedly that art is a beacon in this time of climate crisis. Paintings from his current series 'Light on Water' have now been added to this profile.
