BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in Rome, the cradle of the Renaissance and Baroque eras, my artistic identity is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Old Masters. I currently live and work in the historic atmosphere of Jerusalem, creating a unique cross-cultural dialogue through my brushstrokes.
ARTISTIC PHILOSOPHY & CONTRASTING MEDIUMS
My creative practice thrives on experimenting across distinct mediums, driven by a profound balance of elemental energies. For me, fine art portraiture is a fluid, expansive journey—a world of water and heart where shapes emerge through intuitive, organic layers. In contrast, fine jewelry fabrication demands a hyper-focused, intensely disciplined, and controlled energy—a complete mastery over fire, precious metals, and structural geometry. These two practices feed into one another: the fluid freedom of the brush relaxes the hand, while the fiery precision of jewelry design anchors the eye.
Every canvas represents months of rigorous craftsmanship. I build each piece layer after layer over a traditional brown monochrome underpainting (brunaille) to achieve structural depth, luminous skin tones, and a dramatic interplay of light and shadow (chiaroscuro). To guarantee museum-grade archival longevit...
FORMAL & TECHNICAL EDUCATION
- Academic Background: Advanced studies in Physics and Computer Science. This analytical foundation deeply informs my structural approach to classical composition, spatial geometry, and the physics of light on canvas.
FINE ART & CLASSICAL TRAINING
- HaCubia Art School, Jerusalem: Intensive year-and-a-half residency focusing on traditional fine art disciplines, drawing, and classical oil painting methodologies.
- Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem: Selected specialized coursework in fine art execution and technical mastery.
- Maziar School, Diamond Exchange District (The Bursa), Ramat Gan: Advanced, ongoing training in fine jewelry design, master stone setting, and goldsmithing. Situated inside the secure walls of "The Bursa"—renowned globally as one of the world's premier elite centers for diamond exchange and gem trading—this environment demands absolute world-class technical perfection. This intense discipline directly translates to the micro-precision, fine motor control, and meticulous detail required to render the complex fabrics, jewelry, and iconic lace work in my high-end oil portraiture.
