David Zafra’s work revolves around the relationship between time, erosion, technology, and degradation, exploring how processes of wear, transformation, and accumulation manifest in matter, landscapes, and cultural objects. Using materials such as earth and paint, his sculptures and site-specific projects create tensions between the organic and the artificial, inviting reflection on the fragility of built structures, the memory embedded in materials, and the ways technology accelerates, records, or reconfigures cycles of ruin and permanence.

Zafra is co-founder and active member of Yope Project Space, an independent initiative dedicated to the exhibition and development of cultural and artistic projects. Since its founding seven years ago, the space has established itself as a platform for experimental practices, fostering dialogue between emerging and established voices in contemporary art.
