Dhvani Dedhia

Writer turned self-taught artist, I swapped my pen for a paintbrush, exploring stories through colour, texture, material and form. My work draws inspiration from literature, memory, emotion, nature and life’s transitions.

Working across painting and mixed media, I create tactile and intuitive works that invite a closer, more sensory experience. Not only something to simply look at, but also something to feel up-close. My practice is rooted in experimentation, allowing each work to evolve through layering, texture and material.

Based in Mumbai, India, I am currently developing my practice as an emerging artist, exploring the space between painting, texture and relief while continuing to expand the materials, forms and ideas within my work.
