Diane Micklin

I have always loved art and pursued it as a serious hobby in 2002. I started out painting landscapes and still life. Always drawn to abstract art, I never thought I could make the switch from realism to abstract. Painting abstracts opened up a whole new world for me as an artist. I know where a painting will start depending on the color scheme, but where it ends up is always a surprise. I enjoy painting in layers, sometimes building upon the colors, other times scraping to reveal the color scheme underneath.
