Dionne Stokley

Many of my works explore themes of mental and spiritual health, although often embodied through the female form, they capture human emotion in a way that transcends gender and time, creating pieces that speak to universal experiences.

Dionne Stokley grew up in a family of professional artists, which provided a strong foundation for her early immersion into the creative world. Non-traditionally trained, Dionne draws experience for her visual art from over 25 years of experience within the digital art and photography fields. In 2000, she relocated to Wilmington, NC, marking a significant phase in her career as she expanded into the independent film scene. Dionne's artistic focus is on figurative work, blending elements of expressionism and reality, using acrylic and oil paint mediums.
