David Evans

Bourn and breed in Minneapolis, Honolulu and Los Angeles, I ‘m really just a simple country boy at heart. I do hold many views and opinions about our world and the society we have created but, I don't represent them overly in my art. I like to create more of an environment in which to escape from a life for a while.

I started painting out of sheer boredom. I was living in a little town next to a mountain in Ka’a’awa, so peaceful, so beautiful, so….I started to paint.
To start from an idea, a feeling, visualize that idea in your head nurture and develop it. Then transpose that idea from thought to the physical is amazing. This is one of the beauties of being human the multitude of means for self-expression communication and alteration.

Continually Self learning I use recycled materials that I find in various locations throughout the city. Stretch my own canvas, make my own frames.
