I was born in Russia who and now live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I think I first started to take photographs with intention of producing art in 2005. First with compact digital cameras, after some point with SLR and DSLR cameras and in the end moved to mirrorless format.
Apart for purely physical pleasure of taking a picture ("freezing the moment") that I still have since I was 7 or so, my goal for shooting photos is to capture emotions or at least to convey the feeling I have experienced or that was brought up in me by a particular topic.
Some of the sources of inspiration for me include works of such photographers as (in no particular order) Elliott Erwitt, Igor Mukhin, WIlliam Eggleston, Gennadiy Bodrov, Alexander Lapin, Cor Jaring, and many others.
No formal education in area of photography or art, but I got a Msc in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, cum laude.
