About Diane Stemper

Diane Stemper, 1960, Ohio, received her B.F.A. in printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute, and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State University. Her artist books are in several private collections and in the public collections of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio; University of Cincinnati, Ohio; University of Kentucky, Louisville; and Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Main Branch. Stemper is a member of the Dayton Printmakers Cooperative, and the Cincinnati Books Arts Society. She is a Teaching Artist with the Ohio Arts Council’s TeachArtsOhio initiative. Her artist books, prints and drawings incorporate concepts of science, found text and objects, observation and commentary. Collections of oddities, historic science collections, specimens and science illustrations inform her imagery.
