Domenico Balli

I was born in the state of Washington and raised in South Texas. As a child, I spent my time playing outdoors and exploring the environment which fed my relentless curiosity. Some of my fondest memories as a child are borrowing my parents’ old Brownie and Kodak Instamatic cameras, and roaming around the backyard capturing images. During these formative years, a visual and tactile language was formed by my experiences and imagination. With this language, I let my personal mythology influence the direction of my creativity.

I currently reside in Houston, Texas, where I work as a commercial and fine art photographer. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography and Sculpture and Minor in Art History and Criticism from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I also earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree with a major in Commercial Photography and Digital Imaging from The Art Institute of Houston.

This evolution has taken me through various phases of visual stimulation, creativity, and process.
