RECOGNITION

Dora Reiss is an Argentine visual artist working with constructed photography.

Her work focuses on the creation of perceptual situations, where figure, space, and objects interact to produce states rather than narratives.

She develops ongoing series, including Atlas of States of Calm, which explores stillness as a habitable condition.

Rather than representing reality, her work builds images that unfold through perception. Each piece is not a closed image, but an experience activated in the viewer.

Across the series, a solitary female figure establishes a point of reference within controlled environments, where scale, proportion, and spatial relationships introduce subtle tensions.

Studies in artistic ceramics and figure drawing (life model).

Background in analog photography, later developed into digital photography, image editing, and AI-assisted visual practices.
