Diarmaid O'Sullivan

Diarmaid O’Sullivan is an Irish artist living and working in Cork City, Ireland. In 2013, He graduated from Crawford College of Art and Design with a BA Honors in Fine Art. Since then his oil paintings have been included in numerous exhibitions throughout the country in both the Republic and Northern Ireland. Currently, he is a member of Over the Line Studios and artist collective, STUDIO8-Kerry Contemporary.


O'Sullivans oil paintings deal with the object. Using a figurative style, he reintroduces the viewer to ordinary, utilitarian things and invites them to observe and appreciate them out of context and in a different light. His latest series of paintings focus on mirror balls.
“I find these objects playful and visually stimulating. Each square within these globes reflect fragments of shimmering light, creating a symphony of colour, tone and hue. It’s these elements which, I believe, make for successful paintings.”
