Deborah Walsh

I create art for the sake of the process itself. There is no grid message - just form, color, and the satisfaction of making. I make art to feel, reflect, and to connect.
My work is a direct reflection of process and experience. I focus on precision, observation, and the technical challenge of capturing realism without over interpretation. I begin with what's visible then allow the image to unravel and reveal something more.
I'm especially drawn to reflective and transparent forms - subjects that carry a quiet emotional tension between what is seen and what is hidden. I try t capture the moment when something familiar suddenly looks different - when looking becomes seeing in a new way.
While realism is central to much of my work, I also enjoy experimenting with different mediums, styles, and approaches - sometimes precise and highly detailed and other times loose and abstract. This openness keeps the work alive and responsive.
