"When I meditate I empty my mind, when I paint, I fill it."
The world dissolves whenever I'm painting. My imagination takes over as I brush my first gestural strokes of paint on a blank surface. I lose track of time and space. My movements create color combinations, shapes, textures, compositions and visual imagery that evolve in my subconscious.
I am influenced by Asian Art and Abstract Expressionism.
My extensive travels and introduction to other cultures influence all that I do.
My art is ever-changing by my exposure to nature, fantasy, and when I view moving images.
Trained in Art Therapy I am deeply aware not only of my own psychological influence but how my work will impact those who view it and become emotionally engaged.
I hope my paintings offer an invitation to experience a moment of connection, movement and visual rhythm.
