Egypt Green known as Egít Le Atíse(Egypt The Artist) is a multidisciplinary artist of Haitian descent whose practice explores memory, identity, healing, ancestral consciousness, and the relationship between the inner and outer self . She explores this through different disciplines such as painting, fashion, music, photography and writing; using her self made platform EgítCreationism to be a living container to hold her multidimensionality, healing, and creativity. Through painting and mixed-media work, Egít transforms personal experiences, emotions, symbols, and cultural memory into visual archives—creating pieces that function not only as images, but as records of lived experience and evolving consciousness.
The practice is rooted in the belief that art can hold what language cannot. Layers of paint, texture, material, symbolism, color, and mark-making are used to represent the complexity of cosmic memory and the ways the human experience accumulates within creating the self and then exaimining the self through creation to interpret life. Rather than treating a finished artwork as a static object, Egít approaches each piece as a living archive: something capable of preserving a feeling, moment, realization, or internal transfor...
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania in May 2026, completing my degree program in three years and graduating top of my department as summa cum laude. During my time at Lincoln, I also served as President of the Psi Chi International Honor Society.
For my senior research thesis, I explored 'Evolving Consciousness Through Art and Music: From Ancestral Memory to Modern Healing', examining how art and music can serve as vessels for ancestral memory, evolving consciousness, and healing within African American culture and community. The research explored the ways creative expression can preserve cultural memory, connect generations, and create pathways for personal and collective healing. This work continues to inform my artistic practice and my exploration of Black identity, spirituality, memory, consciousness, transformation, and healing through academia.
I have also been accepted into Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California, where I plan to further pursue my studies in art beginning during the 2027 Fall academic year.
My first exhibition took place on November 11, 2025, at the AMOS Art Gallery at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania as part of “Proverbs: The Stories We Tell and How We Tell Them.” The exhibition presented works exploring the stories we inherit, create, and share through art.
I presented The Divine Feminine, a work that functions as both a self-portrait and a mirror—a story of growth, transformation, and remembrance. The piece honors ancestral and soul lineages and the divine creative power within Black women. Born from light carved through the shadows of darkness that seek to bury everything she is, she embodies the healer, the intuitive, the creator, the warrior, and the cosmos in human skin.
