This portraiture dives into the fascinating interplay between humanity and the world of fungi, exploring the echoes of primal connection and the depths of human memory. I am captivated by the way we, as a species, seem to both yearn for and recoil from our organic roots.
Process begins with a spark – a vivid memory, a dream fragment, or the intriguing form of a found object. These initial inspirations then take shape through collage and digital manipulation, culminating in multi-media paintings that seek to challenge perception.
The intention is to create art that encourages introspection and invites viewers to contemplate their own relationship with the world around them. I hope to foster moments of reflection, celebrate the beauty of imperfection, and spark a dialogue about how we perceive reality. Ultimately, my art seeks to be a space for contemplation and a celebration of the human experience.
