Olena Filimonova

I am an artist working at the intersection of realism and abstraction, combining these approaches into my own interpretation of surrealism. My work explores the connection between nature and the inner emotional world of a human being.

Nature is my primary source of inspiration, especially its elements and forces. I am also deeply interested in human experiences, particularly in moments of challenge, when true emotions and inner strength emerge.

I work primarily with acrylic and pencil, often incorporating texture into my paintings. By using texture paste combined with natural materials such as sand, stones, and tree bark, I create a tactile depth that reinforces the connection between the artwork and the natural world.

My artistic practice is intuitive and driven by emotion. Each piece begins with a feeling that evolves through layers, textures, and lines, allowing the work to develop organically.

Through my art, I aim to evoke emotions that help people reconnect with themselves, find calmness, and recognize the beauty of life even in difficult moments. My message is simple: life is beautiful, even when it includes tears.
