Elizabeth Taylor

I have always had a fascination with art and painting, both the history and the practice and I have sketched and painted for most of my life. My passion is landscape painting. I love the changing effects of light on a scene as the clouds and weather change and the light shifts throughout the day. I try to convey an emotional response through light and colour and am engaged with exploring the ways this can be conveyed through different mediums and styles. I love to experiment and explore new techniques, eagerly following those which work, to see where they will lead!

I have lived and worked for most of my life in North Staffordshire, apart from a period of five years when I worked in central London. From where I live now I am lucky enough to have access to a wealth of wonderful countryside, from the wild moorlands of Derbyshire, to the gentle rolling countryside of Staffordshire and Shropshire. Plenty of scope for exploring different techniques and styles as I focus on developing my own artistic projects.

I studied Art in the Environment as part of my BA Hons Degree and have recently completed a Diploma in Landscape Painting.

I have exhibited locally and completed several commissions.
