Eladia Alvarado Mauriz

Eladia Alvarado is a Peruvian born artist who immigrated to the United States in 1973 as a child. She completed her artistic classical training at The School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1992. Working primarily in oils on canvas and in abstract form, Eladia’s paintings are full of vivid color hold layers of paint that both give them depth and translucency. She does not adhere to current art trends, but prefers to be true to her own artistic expression. Currently residing in New Jersey, her influences are everywhere, from everyday occurrences to her culturally diverse neighborhoods in NJ and the NYC surrounding area.
