Ellen Eikenes

In Ellen's paintings, figurative recognizable elements meet abstract patterns, and are woven together into a whole.
The paintings' themes, expressions and motifs point to events that we recognize ourselves. And many of her works have an openness that involves countless possibilities for interpretation. The viewer gets their own associations in meeting the paintings. This ambiguity in the works is something Ellen strives for and is aware of throughout the work process.

EDUCATION: 3-year Art School: Mølla Art School, Norway, 1st and 2nd department 1995 - 97 Oslo Drawing and Painting School, 3rd department 1997-98, equevlant to BA-Arts-education
OTHER EDUCATION: Eik Teacher Training College, teacher with 1st department special education.
