Emily Tenenbaum

Emily Tenenbaum was born in Saint Louis, Missouri in 1989. She has been an oil painter since her junior year in high school. Currently, she is a senior at Savannah College of Art and Design. Her recent work is concerned primarily with creating a rich material surface, while maintaining the natural beauty inherent in birch wood. Her work is often figurative, yet it departs significantly from realism. Aside from painting, Emily also enjoys helping others. Emily feels that her greatest contribution to the world is teaching. She plans on working with the younger generation of artists. Her aspirations are to paint constantly and encourage art students in the same way her mentors have done for her.
