Clinton Deckert is an award-winning American painter who was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Southington, Connecticut where he still resides and maintains a home studio. He was featured in the “NEW / NOW” program at the New Britain Museum of American Art, CT and is represented in the Museum’s permanent collection. His work was exhibited at Carrousel du Louvre in Paris in the Société des Beaux Arts international exhibition. Deckert’s artworks have been exhibited and collected internationally including several works in the acclaimed Jack & Susan Warner Collection in Alabama - considered by many to be the greatest privately held collection of American art in the world. He was featured on WNPR radio’s “rock star panel of artists and art critics” for the “Ebb and Flow of Dada” art show at the Pump House Gallery, Bushnell Park. Deckert’s early artistic roots grew while serving two terms as president on the board of directors at the Artworks Gallery, an artist’s cooperative in Hartford, CT. He has shown work at the Monique Goldstrom Gallery in SoHo, Manhattan, NYC and at an international exhibition at the Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, New York. In New Haven, he exhibited at Yale Medical Center, White Space Gallery, and the Kehler Liddel Gallery. Clinton’s artwork was included in the Art Palm Beach International Art Fair in Florida, and most recently at the Bruce Kershner Gallery, Fairfield, CT and Gallery 66, and the Art League of New Britain, CT. Deckert remains an advocate championing for the arts and has also served as a curator and juror in regional art events.
