Poet of The Mountains Painting

Born within the multicultural differences in her family, Anastasia Regina or known as Anastasia Re; embraces the luxury of learning and being raised by more than one traditional values through cultural philosophy as well as through her social political identity as a Chinese Indonesian. This way, Anastasia knows very well the first hand experience of racial discrimination, however that political nightmare that most Chinese Indonesian are familiar about also gives her a glimpse of how much she needs to prove her love as an Indonesian. Anastasia translates most of her traumatic past through colours and through the composition on her paintings. Her devotion for abstract expressionist art also has been a vessel of communicating her willingness as an ecological painter which advocates the beauty of incomparable Indonesia`s biodiversity. Anastasia started painting in 2016 as a therapy to her suicidal tendency caused by particular traumatic events. On her first year, she made 135 paintings that represented the amount of times she would like to erase herself. She was formally teaching teenagers how to regulate their emotional state using her experience in defying the suicidal tendency by surrendering to art. Through art, she believes everyone is capable to embrace their own wounds to start their resurrection in healing and recovery.
