Stuart Dodman is a British artist based in Brighton whose practice spans painting, drawing, installation, and sound. While his work moves fluidly between media his main output is painting, often in series, which is rooted in the physical and psychological implications of decision through mark-making and erasure, concerned with how every action leaves a trace, and how those traces are permanent. Dodman holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Sheffield Hallam University. Alongside his visual art, he has worked with sound and object-based installations, with projects released internationally. His work has been exhibited in the UK and internationally and is held in private collections in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Europe and the UK.
